The Maine Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society has selected Meagan Hennessey to receive the 2010 George V. Soule Scholarship. Meagan is a senior at Morse High School in Bath, Maine and will be attending Colby College where she will be studying environmental sciences.

George V. Soule Scholarship - 2010
The Ruffed Grouse Society of Maine is pleased to offer up to two $3000 scholarships to deserving students who will be starting or continuing their education in the fields of Wildlife Conservation, Conservation Law Enforcement, Forest Management or a related field that is supportive of the broad goals of the Ruffed Grouse Society at both the regional and national level. Each student must intend to become a practitioner in one of the above-mentioned fields, preferably in the state of Maine.
Requirements:
• Must be a resident of Maine.
• Must have attended a secondary (High School) in Maine.
• Must already be enrolled in an undergraduate program or be enrolling for the
upcoming fall semester.
These scholarships are available to students either entering college or currently enrolled in a bacca-laureate program, i.e., students who have successfully completed a portion of a 2 or 4-year program are eligible for these scholarships.

Note: Recipients shall not receive this scholarship until the committee receives a transcript of the grades for the semester completed. Recipients must be eligible and registered for the following semester, and earned a minimum of a 3.0 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale).
